    Welcome to Watkins Nature Photography

Please feel free to browse my Alaska landscape and nature photography website displaying and selling landscape and nature photography from Alaska and many other locations. A sampling of my fine art and stock photos can be found in the:
Western Landscape & Nature Photography Gallery.

    Upper Left Image

Left - On the home page of my website is Earl, a 25 year old McNeil River male grizzly (as of 2002) who I feel, best represents what an old grizzly should look like. No pretty male bears here.

Since Earl could never grace the cover of a major publication due to media bias against old, scarred, arthritic, and torn up bears, I decided to honor him and all the other old grizzlies out there with an essay and with being on the front page of my website.

Landscape and nature photos of museum quality and stock photography can be ordered from the website with rapid service for both. Matting & framing is also available. For more information on the making of these fine art prints or on the licensing of the images, please click on the links at the top of the page.

Viewing Fine Art Landscape Photos Over the Internet:

I realize that ordering fine art prints from an Internet website is different from viewing prints in person. There are details and colors that are missing from a computer screen, but that are obvious when viewing a print in person.

Many low-resolution digital scans do a remarkable job of replicating the original image for internet viewing, while others do not. I have done my best to try to match as closely as possible the digital scans to the original image that you see on your computer screen. But the truth is, is that nothing compares to viewing these prints in person.

Regardless of the shortcomings of the Internet for displaying images, I am positive that you won’t be disappointed with the rich and dynamic color, and incredible detail of the Krist’l Fine Art Prints from Watkins Nature Photography. Additionally, the life expectancy of these fine art prints has been independently rated at over 60 years, insuring the customer a fine art image that they will enjoy for years to come.
