Art and design have always played a pivotal role in my life, from my earliest training as a child in oil painting, to my later training in art and design in college. I graduated with a minor in Art and a BA in Geoscience, as the natural world was of great interest and importance to me. College also included studying black and white photography, which captivated me and jump-started my change in direction from art into photography. After graduation, I spent the next 20 plus years in the corporate world, all the while nurturing my photographic instincts. Having been affiliated with the Raritan Photographic Society for many years, I’ve continued to build on those instincts, having also had several of my photographs published in a central New Jersey magazine, as well as having one of my images showcased on the Friends of Arizona Highways Web site. Moving into the professional ranks was the culmination of gaining the necessary training, knowledge and experience critical for success.
My photographs, for the most part, reflect my travels within the United States, as well as some international locations. My wish is to communicate the beauty of our surroundings to others, through my own personal vision or “perception”, and create a lasting impression of the majesty and awe of the world around us.
